SPORTING SCHOOLS 

What is Sporting Schools? 

Sporting Schools is an Australian Government initiative which offers grant opportunities for Schools to support the delivery of sport-based programs to students. 

The aim of the Sporting Schools program is to: 

• improve children’s fundamental movement skills to encourage lifelong participation in physical activity 
• increase the awareness of the value of sport in schools 
• engage children in high quality sporting programs 
• connect children with sport in their local communities
  

How to get Hockey into your School 

The Toowoomba Hockey Association is a registered provider of the Sporting Schools program and are ready to deliver hockey into your school! 

1. Schools apply for funding through the Sporting Schools program.  
2. Select Hockey as your chosen sport.  
3. Once your School’s funding has been approved, THA will contact your School directly.  
4. Qualified THA Coaching staff will deliver a program to accommodate your School’s needs.
