The Club Glenvale Challenge is an A-Grade pre-season competition developed and implemented by the Toowoomba Hockey Committee.
The Challenge starts in February and leads into the start of the A-Grade season.
Players are required to submit a nomination to be considered for selection in this competition.
Background
The program aims to promote the development of Toowoomba A-Grade players while providing a highly competitive pre-season tournament.
The initial concept was brought to the THC in response to a need to improve the competitive level of the current A-Grade men’s competition.
After consultation by the THC with Clubs and members, the first Club Glenvale Challenge competition was played in 2018 with 4 men’s teams consisting of A1/A2 standard players.
Teams of the Challenge are hand-picked and comprise of a mix of players from across the 5 major clubs of the Toowoomba Hockey Association.
The Challenge has grown in popularity over a short time and now has a competition for Men, Women and Juniors.
