Penny has been volunteering in many capacities for Toowoomba Hockey for over 30 years. Penny was a member of the Board of Directors for 6 years. She was the Chairperson of the Grants Committee for several years and during this time she assisted local Clubs to obtain several government grants that helped the clubs in a variety of areas.
Penny was also a well-regarded coach and she has coached numerous club and Toowoomba teams over a 25 year period. Over the years Penny was very successful with both Junior and Senior teams that she coached, developing a great working relationship with players at all levels. Penny served as a selector at club, Toowoomba and State level and her eye for talent and putting together a team was highly sort after.
The Queensland Government provided the Toowoomba Hockey Association Inc.
