Hope Munro

Hope Munro (nee Brown) was a skillful midfield and striker with the flair to change a match. Hope played 136 games for Australia and scored 33 goals while also being a mother to her 2 beautiful girls, Ella and Olivia.

Hope or ‘Bob’ managed to juggle motherhood and the demands of being an elite hockey player to become a dangerous attacking player on the world stage. Hope’s elusive dribbling and creativity caused opposition countries grief along with her ability to slot home a goal.

Some of Hope’s major achievements are:

  • 2008 Beijing Olympics
  • 2012 London Olympics
  • 2006 World Cup Silver Medalist

Three Champions Trophy tournaments including one silver medal.
