Important Covid Upate - 18th Aug

Posted by THA Office, on the 18-08-2021 @ 03:06PM

Dear Toowoomba Hockey Members,

We have great news! As of 4pm this Friday 20th Aug 2021, Community sport can recommence in full, including playing, training, officiating and spectating.

Some restrictions will still apply to those members who reside in any of the affected 11 LGA’s – i.e. wear a mask when indoors and when you cannot socially distance outside. Masks are not required when participating in sport.

Please refer to the Qld Government’s Roadmap to easing restrictions for full details: https://www.covid19.qld.gov.au/government-actions/roadmap-to-easing-queenslands-restrictions

On behalf of Toowoomba Hockey, we’d like to thank our members for your patience during this time. Adhering to the Qld Health directives helps us to keep our members and our Community safe, and assists with the lifting of restrictions as early as possible.

We’re looking forward to seeing everyone back out on the field as we head into our finals series and would like to wish all teams the best of luck in these last weeks of Hockey.

Please remember to check in when you arrive, practice social distancing and if you are feeling sick…. please stay home!

Regards,

Toowoomba Hockey

Covid Update - 13th Aug

Posted by THA Office, on the 13-08-2021 @ 02:46PM
Important Covid Update:
THA has received advice today from Qld Sport and Rec in regards to the current Covid restrictions and how they impact Toowoomba Hockey members. THA’s advice to our members in regards to participation in Community sport remains the same:
• Those who reside in any of the 11 restricted LGA’s are NOT allowed to participate in Community Sport until restrictions are lifted by the Qld Government.
• Those who reside in an area not identified by the Qld Government, BUT have been in the community in any of the 11 restricted LGA’s are NOT allowed to participate (i.e. play, train, coach or officiate) in Community Sport until restrictions are lifted by the Qld Government, or it has been 14 days since you left the impacted area (whichever comes first).
Please note – people who live with someone that has been in any of the 11 restricted LGA’s will also need to abide by the same conditions.
Unfortunately, these current restrictions are impacting our last few rounds of Hockey, but THA are following the guidance of Qld Sport and Rec by proceeding cautiously in order ensure the safety of our members.
As per previous advice, players who are unable to play due to Covid restrictions will have ‘COVID’ noted next to their name on the game card and that player will be credited with a game.
For those who can attend, please remember to check in when you arrive, practice social distancing and if you are feeling sick…. please stay home!
