The Board of Directors is the principal corporate governance body of the Toowoomba Hockey Association. Its functions include the control and management of the affairs, property and funds of the Association and the interpretation of the Associations rules.
The Board of Directors currently consists of ten positions, nine of which are compulsory. They are President, Vice-President, Treasurer, a Director from each of the five major clubs, a Hockey Director and an Independent Director (optional).
The Constitution and By Laws provide for a number of committees and sub-committees aligned to particular governance portfolios to assist the Board of Directors. These committees include, but are not limited to, the Toowoomba Hockey Committee, Judiciary Committee, Appeals Committee, Grading Committee and Selection Panels. Each of these committees is then responsible for their portfolio and may utilise sub-committees to assist them.
The Toowoomba Hockey Committee, which is responsible for the organisation, management and administration of the hockey competition along with other aspects of hockey in Toowoomba.
The Toowoomba Hockey Committee may consist of eight(8) positions. They are the Chairperson, one delegate from each of the major clubs, the Regional Coaching Director and a Secretary (optional). All volunteer positions are appointed by the Board of Directors.
Similarly, there are a number of sub-committees which assist the Toowoomba Hockey Committee. Examples of those sub-committees include the Umpiring Committee and the Hockey Expo Committee.
